Rocky's Shelter Picture

We always loved this picture, though the fear in his eyes in this picture was not representative of him at all.  He was loving and fantastic.  The shelter was cold and damp, and though we didn't know it at the time, he was sick.

Oh how this boy loved to play

We rescued Rocky from a shelter in Spring of 2001. We found out that he was a sick little guy rather quickly, but we loved him too much to give him back (as our FORMER vet implied we do).

We had him with us for 7 months before he suddenly became sick and we had to put him to rest. Now he lives on the Rainbow Bridge, where he's young again and can run and chase bunnies and play to his heart's content.

If you've never heard of the Rainbow Bridge and would like to know more. Or if you've lost a pet and just want to talk with other's who know what you're feeling. Click below on the link "Pet Bereavement Board"

Kitty Time

Cinder

We rescued Cinder as a kitten from a shelter. At first, he was a tiny, tiny thing, smaller than a video cassette tape... He used to "make shelf" by curling up on my chest to sleep and to give me "kisses", hugs and would scratch the back of my neck, and kneading.

At his largest of almost 24 lbs and still tried to make shelf, but couldn't figure out why he fell off.

Until the day of his passing he still loved giving kisses. He passed from us suddenly with an issue in his liver we did not see until too late. He'll never be forgotten and will always be missed until we may once more scratch his big ol belly.
